Caring for Kids Radiothon raises $1.2 million for Montreal Children's Hospital
The Caring for Kids Radiothon raised $1,208,000 for the Montreal Children's Hospital on Wednesday.
"It's absolutely fantastic, and I cannot stress enough what it means to the families of the kids that must come to the hospital," said Kim Fraser
Vice President, Marketing & Communications for the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation. "For them to know an entire community stands behind them really means a lot."
The annual broadcast on CJAD 800, 96 Virgin Radio, CHOM 97.7 and TSN Radio 690 has raised over $22 million for the hospital over 14 years, by Fraser's count.
All funds raised are used for purchasing medical and surgical equipment, like oxygen saturation machines or crash carts, or helping with the accomodations and meals for in-need patients and their families.
Last year, the Radiothon raised $1,300,428.
