Changes coming to Highway 15 north

The first drive back to work after the holiday Monday will look a little different for regular users of Highway 15 north.

Starting September 4, a new configuration will be in place that will see vehicles using the newly developed infrastructure that's part of all the many rebuilds in and around the Turcot Interchange.

The new lanes will take users of the northbound 15 in the same direction, except the exit for Highway 20 west will now come after the Lachine Canal. For the past year the 15 north/20 west split has been closer to de la Verendrye.

Motorists looking to take the 20 westbound will still be exiting on the right, while those continuing straight will stay on Highway 15.

For those making their way to the Decarie Expressway, take note, the lane reductions that have caused additional slow down during rush hour will still be in place.
