Coderre keeping an eye on city hall
In the wake of a public opinion poll showing that 44% of Montreal voters have had enough of Valerie Plante and Project Montreal, the man she defeated a year ago is keeping his options open.
Former mayor Denis Coderre told Alain Gravel at Radio Canada this morning that running for his old job isn't something he envisages, but he's not ruling it out.
Coderre says it was important for him to take a break this year because of personal challenges he faced, but he says he will always be interested in the well being of Montreal.
An online poll by Leger Marketing last weekend indicated support for Plante was at 42%, with 60% of property owners saying that high taxes was their primary complaint.
