Concrete barriers used for Formula E to be rented out for G7 security
The hundreds of concrete barriers that the former Coderre administration bought to block off streets for last summer's Formula E race will return a few dollars to the city.
The barriers — with the city's logo etched into them — will be rented out for those responsible for security at next month's G7 summit in La Malbaie next month.
The Coderre administration laid out $7.5 million for the barriers. The feds will spend $120,000 to rent them for the duration of the event.
