Could it be another record year for Quebec landslides because of flooding?

A lot of Quebec landslides are expected after catastrophic spring floods, strong precipitation and melting snow.

A record 351 landslides were recorded after the huge floods in 2017 and officials predict that record might be beaten this year.

More than 80 were recorded as of May 2nd.

The figure for 2018 was just under 200.

Meantime, the Quebec government said roughly 5,400 homes have been flooded in 2019, roughly 3,800 are isolated by flood waters and more than 10,000 people have had to leave their homes.
