The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said everone involved breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing news that the couple was found safe and healthy late Sunday night - 850 kilometres away in Rockport, New Brunswick.
A citizen of Rockport thought Mr. Dupuis seemed confused when he asked for some information. That citizen alerted the RCMP who later discovered that the couple was indeed the folks authoprities Quebec.
The SQ said that Mrs. Bolduc and Mr. Dupuis left a residence in Shannon, near Quebec City, by car after a family reception. The two failed to return to Saint-Gédéon in Beauce and that's when their relatives alerted authorities.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) does not know what happened to the couple or how they ended up so far from where they started their journey. However, the police presume that Mrs. Bolduc and Mr. Dupuis simply "went astray."
