Crane crashes into side of CHUM
For the second time in a month a crane crashed into the CHUM hospital.
At about 3:00 P.M. Sunday the top section of a crane at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal work site fell off and smashed some windows above Saint-Denis.
Incredibly no one was hurt because the crane crashed into the CHUM's sampling centre, which is closed on Sunday. However due to the damage the centre, where the CHUM takes blood samples, will be closed Monday.
In a statement the hospital said all other services will be available.
An investigation into what caused the crane to come crashing down is underway.
Last month a South Shore woman was scared half to death when an out of control crane shattered a window on the 12th floor, not far from where the woman was waiting to see a doctor.
No one was injured.
