Cyclist seriously injured in South Shore accident
A cyclist is in hospital, fighting for his life, after an accident in Longueuil Sunday night.
Police on the South Shore said the man in his 50s was cycling on Chambly Road near the intersection of Benoit St. when he collided with a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 30s, was not immediately available to help investigators understand the circumstances that led to the accident because she was taken to hospital to be treated for shock.
The intersection for closed for several hours while police tried to figure what caused the collision.
