Do or die for the Canadiens

Will it be the end of the road for the Candiens on Saturday night?

The Habs will play game 6 of thier best-of-7 opening playoff round against the Rangers in New York.

CTV's Brian Wilde reported this is "a confident team, acting like they're excited for this game, not nervous".

He also said what Montreal will rely on is all its experience, adding they have a lot of it.

"Carey Price has been in the big moment before, he's won World Cups, he's won Olympic Gold, he's won World Junior golds, he's even won a Calder Cup in the AHL. Shea Weber will be another important player, he'll play about 30 minutes tomorrow in this essential game and he knows this routine as well", said Wilde.

There've been a lot of comebacks of 3-2 in NHL history, a ton of them, it's not insurmountable at all, according to Wilde.

Habs coach Claude Julien knows a thing or two about coming from behind.

He even won a Stanley Cup that way while he was bench boss with the Boston Bruins.

As for captain Max Pacioretty's lack of scoring during the series, Wilde said " you need the guys that have brought the numbers through the years to have the same numbers".

"Max should have two goals by now, (Alex), Galchenyuk should have two goals by now. The old addage is you need your best to be your best players tomorrow night", said Wilde during CTV News at 6 on Friday.

He added the team has to be at its best or the "Canadiens won't be playing next week".

TSN 690 will have the broadcast beginning at 8 from Madison Square Garden.
