Does this dog look familiar? SPCA seeks witnesses to report his former owner for cruelty
A starving, injured muzzled dog was found wandering on Melrose Avenue between St. Jacques and Upper Lachine.
The SPCA is looking for witnesses to find out who might be responsible for the animal's extreme neglect and abuse.
The SPCA's Alanna Devine says they've named the dog Murray and are hopeful he'll survive but even if he does, Murray can't be adopted in Montreal because he has the boxy head of the banned pitbull.
"Hopefully if we can figure out his health issues and with some major TLC and be able to find a loving, forever home outside of the city of Montreal," she told CJAD 800.
The SPCA is asking that anyone who witnessed this or any other animal abuse come forward with information.
