Elderly man found dead outside senior's residence in Vaudreuil-Dorion
Provincial police and the coroner's office are investigating the death of a 90-year-old man in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
The man's body was found Monday morning outside the Jardins Vaudreuil senior's residence where he lived. The discovery was made by an employee of the residence.
It's not known if the man left the building Sunday night or Monday morning. An autopsy will also be performed to determine the cause of death.
According to the residence's website there is patient care personal and a nurse on hand 24 hours a day and security cameras monitor the building.
The incident comes about two months after the 93-year-old mother of former Bloc Quebecois leader Gilles Duceppe died just outside of her Montreal seniors' residence. She was found frozen to death after she mistakenly left the building following a fire alarm from a nearby building.
