Fans excited to see P.K. Subban again
P.K. Subban is back in Montreal Thursday night as the Predators play the Canadiens.
He returns after being traded in a blockbuster deal 8 months ago in exchange for defenseman Shea Weber.
CTV's Stephane Giroux was at the Bell Center talking to fans prior to the game.
"There's this incredible sense of excitement because Montrealers love P.K. so much, but there's also a sense of split loyalty tonight. A lot of fans are wearing a Predators jersey on top of their Habs jersey. They say we love the Canadiens, but we also P.K.", said Giroux.
Subban was honoured Wednesday by Governor General David Johnston for his charitable work.
The ceremony was held in the P.K. Subban atrium of the Montreal Children's Hospital.
In September, 2015, Subban pledged to raise $10 million over seven years through a program called P.K.'s Helping Hand to help families struggling financially because of a child's illness.
The hospital subsequently named its atrium after him.
