Forget your coat and boots, it'll be 20°C in Montreal today
Less than one month ago Montreal was hit with a historic snowfall, now we're waking up and putting on shorts.
Monday will be the warmest day of the year so far, with Environment Canada forecasting a high of 20°C, other projections have Montrealers enjoying a very summerlike 24°C.
Either way, it'll be nice and hot.
The high today is more than double the average for this time of year, and puts us within reach of the record, set back in 1945 when the mercury hit 26°C.
While the sunshine will be mixed with clouds at times throughout the day Monday, go out and enjoy it while you can.
Temperatures come crashing back down to reality the rest of the week as the clouds roll in and bring more rain along with them.
Tuesday's projected high is 7°C, with periods of rain. Environment Canada is forecasting the rain to continue through Wednesday, but the sun is expected to return on Thusday, Friday and Saturday.
With the record setting rainfall last week, along with above average temperatures on Sunday and Monday and precipitation expected this week, officials will continue to keep a close watch on water levels across the province.
