Former Liberal cabinet minister makes political comeback running for CAQ
A former Liberal cabinet minister is making a political comeback running for the CAQ in the October election.
Marguerite Blais, who was minister for seniors under Premier Jean Charest, will run in the new riding of Prevost, north of Montreal.
The former broadcaster left politics in 2015 after Premier Couillard left her out of his cabinet.
Blais, who recently endorsed the riding's Liberal candidate, says she chose to run for the CAQ because it likes her proposal to do more for seniors compared to the Liberals.
