Four men arrested in series of drug raids
Police officers belonging to several forces took part in drug raids over the weekend in Montreal and the north shore.
Four men were arrested last Friday night — Lucio Augello, 45, Lorenzo De Rosa, 46, Rudolph Jean, 45, and Marcello Paolucci, 37. They're facing charges of possessing and producing illicit drugs.
The raids took place in Montreal, Mirabel, Terrebonne and Blainville. A warehouse in Mirabel and a drug lab in the community of Chertsey, north of Rawdon, was also raided.
The Montreal police, the SQ, the RCMP and officers from the Canada Border Services Agency took part in the raids, seizing about 100,000 methamphetamine pills, 25 kilograms of chemicals used to make methamphetamine, and other equipment.
Police say the men have ties to the Mafia and biker gangs.
