Fourth woman reports pursuit by man in silver Dodge Caravan in Brossard

Another woman has come forward saying a stranger followed her in his van and tried to grab her on the south shore.

Police set up a command post and were canvassing in Brossard after a string of attempted kidnappings, when another young woman said she had had a close call.

"She said 'it happened to me! It happened to be the 5th of June around 8:00 p.m.,'" says Longueuil police spokesperson Ghyslain Vallières. "She was in that sector in Brossard, so now we have four victims."

The young women and teens contacted police after they were tailed by a man in a silver Dodge Caravan in May and June. He is described as being between 25 to 35 years of age, white, and with a short brown beard.

"I know that there's somebody who knows someone with a Dodge van that matches that description," says Vallières. "Just call us, we're going to verify. It could be one of your relatives, yes we know it's not easy to do, but we need this information. We need to stop that man."

The police are heavily patrolling the area, and warn young women to be aware of their surroundings while walking alone in Brossard in the evening until the man is arrested.
