Free MSO concert for West Island flood victims
The Montreal Symphony Orchestra will be staging a free concert for West Island flood victims.
The show, in collboration with the city of Montreal, is scheduled for June 29th at Pierrefonds-Roxboro city hall on Pierrefonds Blvd.
"When we are hopeless and we hear music, sometimes it can give hope," said OSM music director Kent Nagano.
"We are all neighbours and we are all together when something like this crisis happens", added Nagano.
The orchestra didn't just start helping the victims.
It's been donating proceeds from the last shows of the season to the Canadian Red Cross fund to help flood victims.
