French superhospital to open in October

Montreal's second superhospital will start admitting patients in October.

Radio- Canada carries a report that the first patients to be transferred will come from Hôpital Saint-Luc, and then Notre-Dame and Hôtel-Dieu.

The original schedule had the transfer starting in August of last year but the keys were only handed over to CHUM (Le Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal) officials March 31.

The hospital is currently installing and testing equipment and the building is expected to be ready by September 6.

It will have 772 private rooms.
