Lafontaine, Turcot, St. Pierre construction means more road closures

It's the weekend, so expect to make your way through some detours while driving around town.

If you're trying to get on or off the island, the Lafontaine Tunnel should likely be avoided as work will force several closures off and on starting Friday night to Monday at 5:00 A.M.

All southbound lanes of Highway 25 are closed from Sherbrooke St. to Tellier/Futailles entrance overnight throughout the weekend. Two lanes will be open during the day.

Motorists using the tunnel to come into town will only have one lane available Friday at 10:00 P.M. to Saturday at 7:30 A.M. and again Sunday at 10:00 P.M. to Monday at 5:00 A.M.

Two lanes will be available during the day.

More work on the Turcot Interchange will make it difficult to get downtown for many Montrealers.

The ramp from both Highway 15 south and Highway 20 east to Route 136 will be off limits from 11:59 P.M. Friday to 5:00 A.M. Monday.

A detour is setup via the southbound Bonaventure.

The approach to the Mercier Bridge from Highway 20 will cause headaches starting at 11:00 P.M. Friday and last until 5:00 A.M.

A new temporary exit from the Highway leading onto Notre-Dame St. West, St. Piere Ave., and Richmond St. will be available to drivers; however two lanes from the eastbound 20, from the entrance to the 138 to Exit 64 will be off limits overnight into Saturday.

One of the westbound lanes from Highway 20 to the Mercier will still be closed, that one in place until mid-August.
