Laurent Lessard the latest Liberal to announce he's leaving politics
A 16th Quebec Liberal MNA says he won't run in the upcoming October 1st election.
On Friday, Agriculture Minister Laurent Lessard became the seventh Couillard cabinet minister to announce he won't be seeking another term in office.
Lessard was first elected back in 2003, as part of the wave that brought Jean Charest to power for the first time. This current term is his fifth.
A handful of other Liberals are also mulling over their futures, including West Island MNA and Minister of Aboriginal Affairs Geoffrey Kelley.
