Laval police still searching for violent daytime attacker
Laval police will be setting up a command center outside a daycare on Curé-Labelle Blvd. looking for information on a brazen daytime attack caught on camera one month ago.
On July 9, Artyom Nersisyan was just about to open the door to the daycare, which he owns, when a large man in a black t-shirt ran up behind him and violently punching the 46-year-old before quickly fleeing the scene.
Nersisyan was rushed to hospital in critical condition; police said he suffered serious injuries to his jaw and head.
Despite releasing video of the incident and several clear images of the suspect, police have yet to identify the man.
Today investigators will outside 541 Curé-Labelle Blvd., in Chomedey between 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. in hopes of gathering new information and speak with any potential witnesses.

The suspect police are looking for is white, about 25 to 30-years-old. He's six feet tall, weighs 230 pounds, with short reddish-brown hair and at the time had a beard that was at least a few days old.
