Loblaw recalling cooked shrimp packages because of bacteria risk
Some packages of pre-packaged cooked shrimp sold at Provigo and Maxi stores, among others, are being recalled because of a potential risk of bacteria.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the product in question is 300g bags of pre-packaged cooked shrimp (56/65 Shrimp per pound). The product may contain raw shrimp, which could contain harmful bacteria. The UPC code on the packages is 0 60249 00927 1, and the expiry date appears to be Oct. 20, 2018.
The product was sold across the country at Loblaw banner stores, including Provigo, Maxi, Maxi & Cie and Club Entrepôt stores in Quebec.
