LOOK: Crews fix wonky paving job
Those pictures of a breathtakingly substandard repaving job on René-Lévesque Blvd. made the rounds of the Internet very quickly this week — not just in Montreal, but around the world.
Now, it appears the job has finally been done properly, even if you can still see evidence of the original job, where crews repaved a street around a parked car — and somehow thought that that was acceptable.
Mayor Denis Coderre tweeted a picture of the newly redone street on Thursday morning.
An entire stretch of René-Lévesque east is being redone, with two layers of asphalt being laid down, in preparation for this summer's upcoming Formula E race.
