Lotto Max maxing out at a $70 million top prize
Some changes are coming to Canada's biggest lottery game.
For one thing, the cap for the Lotto Max jackpot will be boosted from $60 million to $70 million.
And starting next May, there'll be two Lotto Max draws per week — in addition to the Friday draw, there'll also be a draw on Tuesday.
There'll also be a 50th number added to the mix, making the jackpot even harder to win than it already is.
The cost of a ticket will remain at $5, but the odds of winning the grand prize have climbed to 1 in 33,294,800.
By comparison, your odds of dying in a plane crash are somewhere around 1 in 11 million.
