"Major Spring storm" expected to hit Quebec
If you don't own an umbrella, it's time to buy one. Maybe spring for a rain coat, boots, and a hat too.
We're expecting around 30 to 40 milimetres of rain along the St. Lawrence Valley between Montreal and Quebec City, and over the Ottawa Valley.
Meantime there 15-25 centimetres of heavy snow is expected for a number of regions North and East of Montreal.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, calling for a major spring storm to hit Quebec Sunday evening into Monday.
They expected conditions to gradually improve late in the day on Monday.
Heavy rain may cause flash floods and ponding on the roads.
Saturday will be mainly sunny with winds gusting between 20 km/h and 60 km/h. The high is 15.
Partly cloudy on Saturday night at a low of plus one.
Increasing cloudiness on Sunday, rain expected to begin in the late afternoon and continuing overnight into Monday. The high plus seven.
The rain continues through-out Monday at plus five.
And Tuesday should (fingers crossed) relieve us of the rain with a bright sunny sky and a high of 11.
