Man hospitalized after being stabbed in West Island apartment

A late Friday night stabbing on the West Island is being investigated by Montreal police.

The incident took place around 11:30 p.m. Friday at an apartment complex on Terrace Richelieu near Rue Lavingne, off Pierrefonds Blvd. in the St Genevieve borough.

A 23-year-old man was found with serious stab wounds. 

He was conscious and transported to hospital.

Police said the man is refusing to co-operate with them.

A 20-year-old woman was in his apartment at the time of the incident.

She was arrested by police and is expected to be questioned by detectives early this morning.

The investigation is ongoing.
