Man stabbed at downtown ballroom
Montreal police say the life of a 31 year old man is not in danger after he was stabbed in the upper body early Monday.
It happened at around 4 o'clock in the Le Windsor ballroom on Peel near Rene-Levesque Boulevard.
According to Montreal police spokerperson Daniel Lacoursiere, the stabbing resulted from an altercation between two groups of people.
The stabbing suspect reportedly fled the scene, and while several individuals were detained for questioning nobody has been charged.
The ballroom was the site of a party Sunday night and early Monday morning that featured boxer Jean Pascal and actor Benz Antoine.
Police continued their investigation Monday morning with the canine unit.
