Matriarch of the Rizzuto crime family dead at 90
Libertina Manno, the wife of the late crime boss Nick Rizzuto has died at the age of 90.
Rizzuto led the Sicilian Mafia in Montreal until he was assassinated at his home in Cartierville in 2010.
His son Vito succeeded his father as head of mob and died of lung cancer in 2013.
Libertina Manno had a brush with the law in 1994.
She was charged with money laundering after trying to make a three million dollar deposit to a Swiss bank.
The charge was eventually dropped because of a lack of evidence.
