Missing LaSalle man found in Quebec City, family blames construction

Yesterday, an 84-year-old LaSalle man disappeared after dropping off his grandson at school.

Today, police found him 250 kilometres away in Quebec City.

Domenico Rosati has had memory issues and is diabetic.  His family have speculated that he may have gotten confused by road detours due to construction near his grandson's school, and just kept driving once he got onto the highway.

His niece Lisa spoke with CJAD 800.  She said Domenico seemed to be healthy, but that "[the authorites have] brought him to hospital to make sure he's okay."

She added, "We're elated that he's been found, safe and sound."

Rosati's family was headed to pick him up on Saturday evening.
