Montrealer killed in crash at Jay Peak

A Montreal man died after a skiing accident at the Jay Peak ski resort in Jay, Vermont Sunday afternoon.

According to Vermont State Police at about 12:45 P.M. 68-year-old Bruce Charron lost a ski while on a run and crashed into some trees on the edge of a trail.

Emergency responders and the Jay Peak Ski Patrol quickly arrived and removed Charron from the scene. 

Charron, from Montreal West, was pronounced dead at the resort.

The death is under investigation.
