The Quebec government says it's going to set up pilot projects to reduce the patient to nurse ratio after recent complaints that nurses are exhausted and overworked.
After a meeting with the nurses' union Tuesday afternoon, Health Minister Gaetan Barrette says they'll create 16 pilot projects across the province and will meet again next week to decide where they'll be located and how long they'll operate.
The union calls it a big step but says the solution is still to hire additional nurses.
