Once again, avoid the area around the Turcot this weekend

The weekend is here — and that means yet another round of road closures as the Turcot interchange rebuild continues.

First of all, the main westbound from downtown Montreal to the Montreal West interchange — the Ville-Marie, highway 136, and Highway 20 will be completely shut down from Friday at 11:59 p.m. through Monday morning at 5 — and so will the ramp from the 20 west to the Mercier Bridge.

In the eastbound direction, the 20/136 will be closed between the Turcot Interchange and the Notre Dame/Cathedral St. entrance to the Ville-Marie tunnel.

The temporary on-ramp at Ste. Anne de Bellevue Blvd. will go down on Friday night and Sunday night at 10 p.m. They'll reopen the following mornings at 5 a.m.

The St. Antoine St. on ramp at Rose-de-Lima will also be closed right through the weekend, as will the St. Antoine and Hotel de Ville Ave. on-ramps.

In addition, several other ramps will be closed in and around the Turcot interchange right through the weekend.

Meanwhile, the stretch of De Courcelle St. which becomes Glen Rd. in Westmount on the other side of that stony underpass will be closed between St. Antoine St. and Ste. Catherine St. between Friday at 10 a.m. and Monday at 5 a.m.
