One year prison sentence for man who used pepper spray in Metro
The 38-year-old man responsible for the partial shutdown of three subway lines in January has pleaded guilty.
Serge Panneton-Nadon pleaded guilty to three of six charges against him.
He was involved in an altercation inside the Champ-de-Mars Metro station.
He used pepper spray on the other man involved in the brawl.
It created a cloud of gas which affected many people.
LaPresse reports that Panneton-Nadon pleaded guilty to assault, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of drugs.
They say he was sentenced to one year in prison.
During the attack, Urgences-Santé reported treating 15 people, but said nobody was seriously injured.
The incident caused the metro to be shut down for close to an hour, affecting the green line, yellow line, and orange line.
