Pedestrian rushed to hospital after being struck by car in St. Laurent
A pedestrian is in critical condition after she was hit by a car in St. Laurent Monday night.
Police say the 87-year-old woman was walking near the intersection of Cote Vertu Boulevard and Dutrisac when she was struck by a car.
At least five pedestrians have been hit on Montreal roads in the last 48 hours; one man is dead, four others are in hospital.
A recent study by the Université de Montréal's Institute of Public Health Research found that the downtown Ville Marie borough is the most deadly for pedestrians, followed by Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.
