Police to question man who fled fatal crash near U.S. border

A man will be questioned by the Surete du Quebec in connection with a fatal crash on the South Shore.

Authorities believe he was the driver of a vehicle that lost control and hit a pole on Route 219 in Saint-Patrice-de-Sherrington near Napierville.

A woman in the vehicle was killed.

It happened at around 2 o'clock Friday morning.

After hitting the pole the car flipped several times.

When police arrived at the scene, no driver could be found.

Police dogs were brought in to help with the search.

The man was found at around 6:45 and then transported to hospital.
