Possible road rage incident in Cartierville ends in stabbing

Montreal police are investigating a suspected bout of road rage that sent a young man to hospital with stab wounds.

According to police a 20-year-old motorist allegedly made some type of maneuver that angered the driver of a second vehicle. It wound the man up so much; police say he followed the 20-year-old for about five to 10 minutes.

The pair wound up in the parking lot of the Galeries Normandie on de Salaberry near James Morrice, in the New Bordeaux district of Cartierville.

It was there the men got into a fight and at one point during the scuffle the 20-year-old was stabbed in the upper body.

The suspect, a 23-year-old man, fled the scene but police managed to track him down and arrest him.

The victim suffered injuries to his upper body; he was taken to hospital in stable condition and is expected to recover.
