PQ candidate ousted after being outed over far-right social media posts
Its back to the drawing board for PQ leader Jean-François Lisée after Muguette Paillé stepped down as the PQ candidate in the Maskinongé riding just five days after she won the nomination.
Paillé sent a letter of resignation following revelations this week about her long history of vitriolic posts on far right social media sites.
La Presse reports that along with various comments, Paillé liked or endorsed a number of on-line Islamophobic comments.
Just last week Lisée described her as the "voice of popular wisdom"
The Montreal Gazette says Lisée has since deleted the comment from his Twitter feed as well as a Facebook post.
