Rainfall warning for Montreal area: 50 millimetres are possible
Hope you enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather recently, because Friday is going to be a good day to stay inside.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Montreal area, saying a total of 25 to 45 millimetres (possibly more) of rain is expected by Friday evening. There's also a risk of a thunderstorm Friday afternoon.
"A low pressure system from the American Midwest will bring rain starting this morning over Western Quebec, then later in the evening over Southern and Central Quebec," the warning said. "Total amounts slightly higher than 50 millimetres are possible locally."
The weather agency warned flooding is possible in the most vulnerable areas.
