REMINDER: Angrignon Blvd. down to 1 lane at HW20

Motorists who use Angrignon Blvd. overpass on a regular basis will likely see their daily commute get longer Monday.

As of 5:00 A.M. the road, normally four lanes wide with two lanes in each direction, will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

The work on the Angrignon interchange overpass, which will see it demolished and rebuilt, will require a new temporary intersection be setup west of its current location, between the Lachine Canal and Notre-Dame St.

New Angrignon Configuration:

The new configuration will be so limited in space that only one direction of traffic will be able to pass at a time. A traffic light will be installed and police will be on hand for at least the first couple of weeks in attempt to keep reduce congestion.

Thousands of motorists use the intersection every day and Transport Quebec recommends avoiding the area as much as possible during the work.

The configuration will change slightly in July, but the lane reductions are expected to be in place until the end of 2019.

By the time work on Angrignon Blvd. is complete (expected in 2020) the road will stretch across Highway 20 to Pullman St. with direct access to both sides of the highway, very similar to original configuration.
