Robert Libman runs for mayor of Cote-St-Luc, again

He's back.

Robert Libman has announced his candidacy for mayor of Cote-St-Luc.

It's a position he's held before, between 1998 and 2005

Among other things, Libman said Cote-St-Luc taxes have soared during the last 10 years from "one of the lowest tax rates on the island of Montreal to the 2nd highest mill rate of all 34 cities and boroughs."

Libman left municipal politics in 2005 after the demerger from the megacity of Montreal.

He was in federal politics from 2014 to 2015.

He'll face incumbent Mitchel Brownstein, who announced his intention to run for another term earlier this month.

The election is scheduled for November 5th.
