Salmon strips recalled
A food recall to tell you about.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling hot smoked Dom Reserve brand Atlantic Salmon Strips cracked Black Pepper in 150g packages.
It's because of Listeria contamination.
There've been no reports of illness connected to the strips.
The recall affects the following codes: 001996, 002176, 002325, 002371, and 02533.
Consumers should not eat the product, regardless of the best-before date.
Symptoms include persistent fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting severe headache and neck stiffness.
Those with a weakened immune system, elderly people and pregnant women are especially at risk.
The strips have been sold in Ontario and Quebec.
