Scalpers hoping to cash in on Obama appearance in Montreal

It looks as though the hottest ticket in Montreal at the moment is for the address former U.S. president Barack Obama will make next Tuesday, at an event organized by the Montreal Board of Trade.

Scalpers and resellers are listing tickets on various websites, asking for at least $200 for a ticket that originally sold for $57, according to this morning's La Presse.  That's for one of the cheap seats.  For the pricier ticket packages that were sold for around $400, scalpers are asking for up to $1,800.

CJAD Radio reporter Emily Campbell will attend Obama's address and provide comprehensive coverage of his remarks.
