School bus on route to summer camp collides with 18-wheeler

At least ten children aged six to 16 suffered minor injuries after the school bus taking them to summer camp was involved in an accident with an 18-wheeler in Boisbriand.

The incident happened on the ramp connecting the eastbound Highway 640 to the 15 northbound at about 9:10 A.M. not long after the bus left Place Vertu filled with young camp goers and their chaperones. It was on route to the Y Country Camp in Huberdeau, near Mont-Tremblant.

Several motorists stop to help after the bus spun out and ended up in a ditch.

Provincial police closed the ramp and are investigating; they could not confirm what led to the accident.
