Second roof collapse in as many nights in Montreal North
For the second night in a row, the roof of a commercial building in Montreal North partially collapsed under the weight of snow accumulation.
The roof of the empty building on Forest St at the corner of Drapeau gave way at about 2:00 A.M.
No one was hurt.
On Sunday the wet and sticky snow that fell during the day was the straw that broke the camel’s back for the roof of an auto repair shop on Edger St a little north of Industriel Blvd., also in Montreal North.
If you are worried about snow accumulation on your roof, the Régie du bâtiment du Québec has some tips for homeowners on its website.
