South Shore teacher arrested on charges of sexual exploitation

Longueuil police arrested a 38-year-old South Shore teacher in connection with an incident involving a student.

Charles Fortin was arrested Thursday morning. He later appeared in court and was charged with sexual exploitation and luring.

According to police he had a relationship with a minor "while in a position of authority over her."

Fortin was released on $500 bond and must follow a dozen conditions, including not contacting his alleged victim.

He returns to court on April 26.
