SQ looking for witnesses of fatal South Shore crash
Provincial police are looking for witnesses of a fatal crash last month on the South Shore that appears to have been caused by a driver passing in the right-hand lane.
The accident happened at about 5:30 P.M. on December 27 on Highway 10 in Brossard.
According to investigators a vehicle driving in the left-hand lane on the westbound side of the Highway was about to move over to let a vehicle pass when it suddenly made the move to pass on the right. The driver, a 42-year-old woman, swerved to avoid a collision but in the process she lost control, crossed the median ditch and crashed into two cars traveling east on the Highway.
The woman was killed, her husband and child and the drivers of the other vehicles were all injured.
The Sureté du Quebec is asking the driver of the following vehicle or any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
Anyone with information can call the SQ at 1-800-659-4264.
