Those school fee class-action lawsuit cheques are now in the mail
If you had a child in the public school system between 2009 and 2016 keep an eye on your mailbox.
Compensation cheques from the $153.5-million settlement in the class action lawsuit regarding school boards over charging school fees class are now being sent out.
The agreement will see parents receive $24.09 per year, for each child who was in public elementary or high school during the seven year stretch.
The cheques are being sent out per child and per school board, so it is possible for parents to receive multiple cheques over the next month or so.
The cheques will be in envelopes that have the name Collectiva Class Action Services on them.
