Tolls on the Highway 25 bridge to go up on June 1

The cost of crossing the Highway 25 bridge separating Montreal and Laval will go up slightly next month.

Cars registered with the private firm that manages the bridge will pay an extra eight cents to cross it, bringing the total fee to $3.34 — an increase of 2.4 per cent. That would mean 80 cents extra per week for cars that use the bridge regularly from Monday to Friday, twice a week.

The cost of renewal of one's account will also go up slightly, as will the cost of single trips for cars not equipped with a transponder.
