Tour de l'Île, Champlain Bridge shutdown this weekend

Tour de l'Île weekend kicks off with the Tour la Nuit ride through the streets of Montreal tonight.

Coupled with the complete shutdown of the northbound lanes of the Champlain Bridge for the entire weekend, it will be difficult to make your way across the city.

The Champlain Bridge closure is scheduled to last from 10 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Monday.

The 20 kilometre Tour la Nuit ride starts at 9:30 this evening, beginning at  Parc-La Fontaine and ending at Jeanne-Mance Park.

Their are five Tour de l'Île rides ranging from 28 to 100 kilometres in length.

Those rides will begin between 7 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. Sunday and will leave from Parc and Mount Royal.

Some routes will run thru Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, the South-West borough, LaSalle, Lachine and as far west as Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Pierrefonds-Roxboro.
