Trudeau government rolling out national daycare program
Quebec will benefit from a deal the Trudeau government has reached with the nine other provinces to help fund a national child care program.
The federal government will contribute $7.5 billion over the next eleven years into what is described as " the development of affordable, quality, flexible and inclusive education services".
The Liberals have said the money over the next three years could potentially create 40,000 subsidized spaces.
Quebec has had its own child care network for 20 years and La Presse says as a result of today's agreement, will receive $88 million a year from Ottawa for the next three years.
